Order of Precedence
 Order of Precedence  

Order of Precedence is a sequential hierarchy of rank. In the SCA, this takes the form of recognition of awards received, the rank of the award and when the person received it.

In formal events, the Order of Precedence plays a part in how members of the SCA relate to each other. For example: in Crown tournament, combatants and their consorts are presented to the crown before the tournament in Order of Precedence.

In Atenveldt's Online order of precedence, a person need not have an award to be listed. With photos and devices from many of our populace, the OP works as a who's who in Atenveldt. Feel free to explore.

Atenveldt's award charters are also kept in the Order of Precedence.  An award charter is part of Kingdom Law that formally states all the information about the award.

Order of the Hearth and Horn

Award Charter

In Anno Societas XLIX (forty nine), Brian, King by right of Arms, and Lia, Queen by grace and beauty did recognize the importance of those who add hospitality and merriment to our current middle ages.  As such, they did establish the Order of the Hearth and Horn.  Count Pontius Maximillian De Leon of South Cashion was created Premier of this order on November 14, 2014.

I. There shall exist in the Kingdom of Atenveldt an order known as The Hearth and Horn.

II. The insignia of this order, shall be (Pending approval by the College of Arms) Azure, in Pale, a Hunting Horn, and within a Fireplace, a Sun in Glory, Or.

III. The award may be given only once, per individual or group.

IV. This order is non-precedental.

V. The protectors of the order will be the Crown of Atenveldt.

VI. Amendments to this charter shall be made by the Crown of Atenveldt.

VII. Membership in the Order of all previous recipients of the award are hereby confirmed.
