Join Sir Friday for a traditional Double elimination, best of # round tournament on The Tourney Field.

He says, “I am very excited for this tournament! I will be enlisting aid from marshals and list ministers to help run this tournament so that I may participate even if it is only as a bye fighter.

“This is a tournament to determined the most skilled fighter with a single 9-foot spear. No secondary weapons allowed. The field will be long and narrow, like a bridge, to focus the combatants 1:1 and keep it from roaming too far.

“The tournament style will either be a bear pit counting victories or a double elimination tournament depending on the number of participants. A sign up list will be at gate and the list will open 30 minutes before the start of the tournament.

“I have donated a brand new, ultra light, fiberglass spear, which I constructed personally as one of the prizes (the fiberglass alone was $65). I intend to have a prize for the top 2 in this tournament. Being as this is the first one of these I have sponsored and that it is on Thursday morning I am hoping for a decent turn out, so please encourage folks to come and play!”
