Volunteering

Teen Volunteers @ Youth & Teen Pointes (aged 10+)

Hey Teens! Ready to Shine and Inspire? Are you bursting with creativity, passion for history, or awesome crafting skills? We have an exciting opportunity for YOU to showcase your talents and make a meaningful impact!

Join our Teen Volunteer Team and help with engaging activities for youths and your peers at war! We can provide letters documenting your “volunteer time” that you can submit to your school or clubs like NHS or NJHS!

We’re seeking enthusiastic teens (and responsible youth aged 10+) to volunteer in one (or both!) of the following roles:

Responsibilities include

🔨 Craft Aids: Lead fun, hands-on crafting sessions that spark creativity and joy in younger participants.

📚 Mini Lesson Leaders: Mini Lesson/Demo Leaders: Design, present, and teach short, captivating lessons or activities (10-30 minutes) centered around the SCA’s themes and historical timelines. It’s like giving a mini report at school—but way cooler! You can also choose to simply demonstrate your own crafting skills or bardic arts, like storytelling or poetry reading (10-30 min.).

How to Get Started

  1. Choose Your Role – Be a Craft Aid, Mini Lesson/Demo Leader, or both!
  2. Submit Your Ideas – Align your activity or lesson with SCA themes.
  3. Demonstrate & Teach – Present your creation to peers and younger participants.

Assistance can be provided.
