Sundragon Solstice–Birth of the Sun
As the seasons turn and night extends its hold, there will come a time to gather as a chosen family to celebrate the birth of the sun and the return of longer days. Come join the Barony of Sundragon on December 10th as we make merry to commemorate the tenure of service of Baroness Valdisa and Baron Wolff, honor the investment of our new Baroness and Baron, and herald in sunnier days.
The festivities will begin at 9:00am at Bourgade Catholic High School. Along with the investiture of the new Baroness and Baron, Solstice events include: a kids’ corner, our traditional white elephant gift exchange, dancing, music, a cultural dessert competition, memorial toasts, and a Lord/Lady of Misrule game. And when the sun begins its descent in the sky, we shall come together to enjoy a feast that includes many traditional holiday food favorites. As we will have merrily met, alas we must eventually part as the site must close at 5:00pm.
Bourgade High School is located at 4602 31st Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85017. There is parking available onsite and restrooms with ADA access.

Event Fees: (All site fees include feast, and children age 17 and under are free)
- Pre-registered Members: $15 (includes $5 member discount)
- Pay at the Gate Member: $20 (includes $5 member discount)

From South or East, take I-10 West to the I-17 going North. Exit at Camelback Road go West (left). Drive about one mile, turn South (left) on 31st Ave. The school will be on the right about .3 miles down 31st Ave.
From North, take the I-17 South, Exit at Camelback Road going west (right). Drive about one mile, turn South (left) on 31st Ave. The school will be on the right about .3 miles down 31st Ave.
From West, take I-10 East to the I-17 going North. Exit at Camelback Road going west (left). Drive about one mile, turn South (left) on 31st Ave. The school will be on the right about .3 miles down 31 st Ave.
