Garb Sewing Day at Peoria Community Center

The Barony of Sun Dragon is a proud and well-adorned Barony! And how do we get that way? By the toil and sweat of our sewing enthusiasts and fiber artists! With the successful first Garb Sewing Day, Their Excellencies Valdisa and Wolff are excited to present unto the Populace another opportunity to gather and create garb or accessories.

This Garb Sewing Day will be held at the Peoria Community Center in a large breakout room (~20’x40’) with the availability for lots of tables. We are able to have multiple sewing machines and sergers as long as there is only one machine per outlet, so bring your materials and your extension cords.

Come for all or part of the time. If you are new to sewing, this is a terrific time to get assistance from experienced populace. If you need help with understanding patterns or trying to figure out a challenging piece of garb, this will be a fantastic opportunity for you to get input from your fellow sewing enthusiasts! Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to try to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.

City of Peoria COVID Statement:

Beginning Thursday July 29th, the City of Peoria will be requiring all city employees and visitors to wear masks inside city buildings. This applies to both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.
