Yes folks, after a (mumble) year hiatus, we are once again having Crown Tournament in the cool pines of Ered Sul!
Site fee is $25. $5 non-member surcharge. No pre-registration. Cash only. 17 and under are welcome at no charge.
Site officially opens at 9am Saturday, Sept 23 and closes Sunday afternoon. However, as this is a publicly accessible campground and a camping event, people are welcome to join us on Friday any time after 1pm setting things up and securing our land from the non-SCAdian invaders and land-whales.
It is a primitive site with no-on site water or electricity. Not ADA friendly. It does have cell signal. Pets are allowed on-leash. Dry RV space is available. There will be no merchants. Everyone needs to plan to pack out whatever you pack in. Plan on propane firepits only, though we may have a communal fire circle depending on fire restrictions.
What we will have are trees and significantly cooler weather than anywhere else in Atenveldt! Site is about 30 minutes from Flagstaff.
Directions: Site is near Ashhurst Lake (where we’ve held Highlands and Too Hot). Take your best route to Flagstaff. Head south on Lake Mary Road. Just past Upper Lake Mary take a left on Forest Road 82E right across from the Pine Grove Campgound. Just past the Horse Lake Trailhead, watch for Dispersed Camping Loop 1 on your right. Recommend leaving your low clearance sports cars at home if that’s an option.
