Come witness the coronation of the next Crowns of Atenveldt 

at the Holy Trinity Monastery Center 

in St. David, Arizona!

The ceremony will take place Saturday, May 3rd in the Great Hall, and on Sunday, tournaments will take place on the Monastery grounds to help their Royal Majesties choose their champions for the Kingdom. Champion competitions are at Their Royal Highness’ discretion and preference. 

On the property are an auditorium, adobe chapel, library, and several artesian-fed ponds. The monastery accommodates a Gift Shop and Coffee Shop that is welcome to the public (open during daytime hours) and has shade trees, several ponds, a pecan grove (pecans sold in the gift shop), stone privies, and on-site water spigots.

Parking and privies are generally easily accessible and within a short walking distance from anywhere on the site. For ADA accommodation questions concerning parking, camping, and restrooms, please contact our main autocrat, Lady Ysolde (sonoitahwy@gmail.com).

Directions

From Tucson – drive East on Interstate 10, use either 303 or 304 Exits in Benson, drive South on Highway 80 (Tombstone & Douglas) to St. David (approximately 8 miles) – the Monastery is located south of St. David, between Mile Post 302 and 303.

From the East – Get off of I-10 at Exit 306, travel west in Benson to Highway 80, then follow the above directions.

NOTE: Bridge construction is also completed between St. David and Benson.

Stone privies are available around the site.

Porta johns and hand washing stations will be provided and be placed around the site.

Local Amenities

Saint David:

There is a Dollar General 2 miles away in Saint David. CLOSEST PLACE FOR ICE.

There is a Saint David volunteer fire department in the area. 

Benson:

The Benson Hospital and local sheriff’s department are 11 miles away. 

Benson is off the I-10, within 15 minutes northwest of the site. Benson has several gas stations, Walmart, Safeway, Ace Hardware, and multiple fast food and dine-in food options.

NOTE: Bridge construction is also completed between St. David and Benson.

Tombstone:

Tombstone is 15 minutes south of the site, with 1 gas station, dine-in food options, Dollar Tree, and some tourist based entertainment.

Staying on Site

Early planning with on-site rv, room, and trailer accommodations is greatly encouraged. All on-site rv and room fees are paid directly to the Holy Trinity Monastery Center. 

The ability to camp on site, RV camp (free dry and paid hookups), or rent a room on site is available – but space and occupancy is limited! 

Staking is allowed.

Discreetly wet.

Above ground fire pits in designated areas are permitted (with fire extinguisher).

Please be aware that this event occurs in the month of May, after minimal rain. There are fewer weeds, but there is more dust. There are also ants and gopher holes; these will try to be managed prior to the event, but they will still be a potential issue.

Camping on Site

  • Camping is free, and only requires filling out the Pre-Registration form to indicate you are interested in camping so that we can make sure there is space to accommodate you. 
  • Camping will be an open land grab, with first come first served. 
  • Staking is allowed. 
  • Each tent and pavilion should have a fire extinguisher in a readily available area.
  • Please be aware that we MAY NOT be using the same camping area as we previously did. 

Rooms and Rental Trailers on Site

Accommodations on site are available for rent through and paid to the Monastery.

  • Most have single beds with AC and access to a restroom and shower. 
  • Some trailers and cottages with multiple rooms are also available. 
  • Space is limited so contact them early for details and to make reservations.

  • **The Hermitage cabins next to the pond have been reserved for TRM and TRH.

  • The site accommodates RVs with either full, partial, or dry hookups and accommodations.

  • RV hookups are $35 for full hookups and $25 for partial hookups, payable to the site.
  • Dry RV camping is free.

Site Rules

  • Volunteers and visitors to the Monastery live on site – please be respectful to anyone else on the grounds!
  • Please do NOT collect pecans from the grove, they can be purchased from the Monastery in the Gift Shop! 
  • One-way roads are 5 MPH. Enter and Exit to the site at different locations – please follow the signs.
  • Please do not leave your vehicle unattended while unloading if you are camping. When you are finished unloading, please move your vehicle to a parking location.
  • Ponds are deep, no dipping into the water, no pets in the water, no lifeguard is on duty.
  • Watch out for wildlife! Do not harass wildlife, and do not disturb the peacocks or ducks, etc.
  • Dogs are allowed on site with a short hand-held leash at all times, but not inside buildings, and not in some areas as some outdoor areas are bird sanctuary locations where dogs are not allowed. Owners are responsible for picking up pet waste.
